Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine. The services of Strength and Salad are not designed to diagnose or treat or replace medical advice. Do not cease conventional treatment or medication for any reason without consulting a doctor.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If an appointment is cancelled with more than 24 hours-notice a 100% refund will be given.

  • If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours-notice a 50% fee will be incurred.

  • If an appointment is not attended you will be charged in full.

Confidentiality:

If your Nutritional Therapist has serious concerns about your safety or the safety of another person, our confidentiality policy may be adjusted.

Before your initial consultation you will be asked to provide personal information such as your name, address, details about your health and your GP’s contact details.

Your personal data will be retained for the period defined by the professional association BANT and registrant body, CNHC. This enables us to process any possible complaints. In this case the legal basis of our holding your personal data is for contract administration.

Client responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for contacting your GP about any health concerns.

  • If you are receiving treatment from a GP, or any other medical provider, you will tell him/her about any nutritional plan provided by your Nutritional Therapist. This is necessary because of any possible reaction between medications and the nutrition plan.

  • It is important that you tell your Nutritional Therapist about any medical diagnosis, medication, herbal medicine, or food supplements you are taking as this may affect the nutrition plan.

  • If you are unclear about the agreed nutrition plan /food supplement doses/time period, you should contact your Nutritional Therapist promptly for clarification.

  • You must contact your Nutritional Therapist should you wish to continue any specified supplement programme for longer than the original agreed period, to avoid any potential adverse reactions.

  • Recording consultations using any form of electronic media is not permitted.

Complaints procedure:

If you have concerns or problems with the service provided by Strength and Salad please let your Nutritional Therapist know during your consultation or via email.

Client eligibility:

We do not take on clients who are under the age of 18.

The Nutritional Therapist requests that the Client notes the following:

  • The degree of benefit obtainable from Nutritional Therapy may vary between clients with similar health problems and following a similar Nutritional Therapy programme.

  • Nutritional advice will be tailored to support health conditions and/or health concerns identified and agreed between both parties.

  • Nutritional therapists are not permitted to diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.

  • Nutritional advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.

  • Your Nutritional Therapist may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing as part of your Nutritional Therapy programme and may receive a commission on these products or services.

  • Standards of professional practice in Nutritional Therapy are governed by the CNHC Code of Conduct.
